XpressBet offers the $50,000 Beat the Host handicapping challenge each Saturday in January and February. Beat the Host offers a FREE, one-time registration and players may compete as often or as little as they like. $1,500 in cash and a chance to qualify for the Beat the Host Championship (March 13) are offered weekly. Saturday, March 27
XpressBet has the $50,000 XpressBet Live tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010. The top six players will qualify for DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship and the next two finishers will qualify for Coast Casino’s Horseplayer World Series. There is a $100 registration fee and a 400 player limit. Top 25 players qualify for seats in XpressBet Showdown. Check web site later for details.
Saturday, April 3rd
The Horseplayer Magazine Handicapping Challenge is a heavyweight live-money handicapping challenge in which players attempt to earn the most money possible while playing an assortment of racetracks and an assortment of wager types (no multi-race wagers—Pick 3, Pick 4, Doubles, etc.). The first tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 3, 2010, with another edition planned for Saturday, May 8, 2010.
The top three finishers in the tournament will earn seats to the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas, including tournament lodging. The challenge requires a $200 entry fee and an $800 wagering bankroll. Competitors must wager on at least 10 races (no maximum) and must wager at least $80 (no maximum) on each race.
Saturday & Sunday, April 17 & 18
The $50,000 XpressBet Showdown returns again in 2010 and this season promises to be the best ever. The top 9 players from Showdown will earn seats in the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship and the next 4 players will get spots in the Coast Casino’s Horseplayer World Series. 25 players from the Beat the Host Championship and 25 players from XpressBet Live will earn complimentary seats in Showdown. Non-qualified players can buy-in for $300 each. Check web site later for details.
Later This Season:
XpressBet plans to offer several Dime-A-Day competitions again this season. Dime-A-Day Del Mar, Saratoga and Oak Tree events are planned. Please check the web site for details and the possible addition of other Dime-A-Day events.
